This llama wool rug (or thick blanket) is ultra soft, almost down/cashmere-like due to wool being sourced from llamas raised in the high altitude desert region of Salta in Northern Argentina. The llamas have exceptionally fuzzy wool to protect from extreme weather and cold temperatures of the changing seasons. Made completely by hand by indigenous artisans, the weaving techniques and patterns have been passed down for generations, pulling upon ancestral knowledge of sacred geometry. Sourced directly from an community cooperative of weavers, purchasing this rug insures that the artisans are compensated directly for their work, supporting a fair trade environment and encouraging the artisans to continue in their trade.

Size: 6'5" wide x 7'2" long

CARE & CLEANING:

Due to the handmade nature of this rug, we recommend spot cleaning with cold water and letting air dry, or dry cleaning only. When vacuuming the rug, only use the suction hose or turn the rotation blade off (certain vacuum brands like Shark or Dust Devil allow this function)
