Sourced directly from the artisan maker in the village of San Francisco de Alfarcito, Jujuy, Argentina. This one-of-a-kind throw blanket is made with un-dyed llama wool, in beautiful contrasting colors of brown and grey in the indigenous diamond-shaped design called, "Ojo de Perdiz." Ojo de Perdiz means "eye of the partridge" and signifies protection.

The llama wool is sourced from llamas raised by the same family that weaves their wool into these creations. The designs go back generations and are passed down directly in a family line. Purchasing a throw such as this insures that a regenerative artisan family continues to benefit from their woven craft, and thus, hopefully continues to teach the weaving practice to future generations.
